There are two super markets right on the town square in Potrero and under a kilometer. There is also a very pleasant spot for a drink and a taco on the beach called Las Brisas.

Down the road in the other direction you'll find the Sugar Beach Hotel at Playa Pan de Azucar. This is a good place for a meal or a drink. You can walk there on the beach as well.

Further along the road has been improved and one can now drive to Zopotal. This area is undergoing development now and there are several large resorts in the early stages of development.  This road now leads to the Monkey Trail now and deposits you just past the Monkey Trail Canopy Tour.

There is a new road planned called the Ox Cart Trail that will be a more direct route to Zopotal. Send me a message if you'd like more details.

Come, bring your family and relax.

Playa Tamarindo

Playa Tamarindo Costa Rica

Playa Tamarindo, long known to surfers and low budget vacationers is undergoing a very rapid transformation to become another high dollar vacation home and condo zone. The image shows a new commercial center located at the north end Playa Tamarindo that is representative of what to expect Tamarindo to look like in just a few years. Today's cheap hotels supporting the low budget market have land values fetching 1/2 a million and up for a teardown. Of course they will be replace by a sea of new Costa Rica condominium projects. It is said a rising floats all boats, and Tamarindo would benefit enormously from the improvement. One big drawback of this transformation is the sounds and sites of construction on a massive scale. During daylight hours one is constantly reminded by the steady drown of commercial construction equipment and fully loaded Mack trucks approaching the speed of light.
